My brother

Ok, if you're reading this post and you actually know me pretty well, you know that I don't have a true biological brother. Although, you probably do know that I have one of the best friends in the world that I call my brother.

The dude I'm talking about is Matthew Bayliff. A little info on Matthew A Bayliff: He's one of the best golfers that I know personally, the hardest working/driven person I know, VERY organized to a point of OCD, would do anything for anyone, loves Jesus and it shows, awesome friend, very compassionate, intelligent, motivated,......you get the point!!!

Matthew and I have been brothers since we were three years old. We've lived right behind each other pretty much all of our adolescent lives. We used to get into everything and anything growing up. One time in perticular we found some spray paint in the woods and decided it would be a good idea to paint something on our neighbor's barn....the only bad thing was that we painted our names "Kevin and Matthew"......we were the only two in the neighborhood.

Even though we did some pretty stupid things growing up, we also did some really fun stuff for example: sliding down hills on pieces of cardboard, playing backyard football/baseball/basketball, building forts in the woods, playing in the creek, and staying outside ALL day long!

How many people can call themselves "blood brothers" and actually mean it? Yes, we actually cut our hands, smeared the blood, and shook on it....I think we might have spit too! I wouldn't really recommend that in today's society, but it was pretty safe then....not to mention we thought it was really cool!

God has blessed me with many things in my life, but there is one thing among those that I'm especially thankful for, and that is Matthew. He really is the best friend that many people will never have in life....and I really don't care if you're reading this and think I'm sounding GAY! I love this dude, and would do anything for him, mainly bc I know he would do the same for me, and if you don't have someone like that in your life I hate it for you.

We have experienced the best in life, marrying our college sweeties, and the worst in life; the passing of his mom (my second mom). No matter the circumstance, we became better men through it all. I'm not exactly sure what made me start to write this post. I guess it's the spirit of Thanksgiving hitting me, but I do know that I'm forever thankful for this guy, and for God allowing me to be a part of his life.

Matthew- If you're reading I just want to say thank you for being such a good friend, and I can honestly say that I'm a better man just for knowing you and walking through life with ya.

Love ya bro.

-Kevin
